How I work
- 1
Listen first.
I learn the team, the product and what is getting in the way.
- 2
Set the structure.
We agree on ownership, priorities and the rhythm the work runs on.
- 3
Build for the long term.
Career paths and leaders inside the team keep it going after I step back.
About
I'm Jaime Hritsik. I started as a front-end developer at USA TODAY and National Geographic, then joined EVERFI as its only developer and built the course development organization to 40+ people. As Head of Engineering at Patriot Software I led 60+ engineers across ~10 teams, helped lead the move toward microservices and cut the time to resolve production issues by about half. At Nextech I led engineering teams across ERP, mobile, integrations and QA and helped them adopt AI-assisted practices for how they build and test software. The part of the work I care about most is people: building teams, developing leaders and creating the conditions for good work. I'm also available for fractional engineering leadership, mentoring and speaking.
